Turmeric and Pea Basmati Rice

Add some extra love to your organic basmati rice dish by adding colour and immune boosting spices. 

Ingredients

1 cup of organic white basmati rice 

1 tablespoon of oil 

1 tablespoon of organic turmeric powder or Kerala spice mix 

1 cup of frozen peas 

Preparation

  1. Rinse 1 cup of basmati rice
  2. Add rice to a saucepan with oil 
  3. Lightly fry rice, oil, spices and peas
  4. Add 2 cups of water and bring to the boil
  5. Reduce to low heat and cook for 10-12 mins with the lid on

Serve with curry, roast vegetables or eat on its own.
