Curried Potato and Lentil Patties

Meat doesn't have to be on the menu if you're looking to  make some delicious burgers, or have a BBQ! Try these quick and easy to make vegan patties using Love My Earth Organic Korma spice mix.


600g potatoes peeled and chopped

1 brown onion finely chopped

2 tablespoons of LME Korma Mix 

400g tin of drained brown lentils

1 Cup of mixed seeds

Olive oil 



1. Boil potato until tender. Drain well and mash. 
2. In a pan, fry onion in olive oil until onion softens and  then add  Korma mix. Fry until fragrant. Add the drained lentils and toss to combine. 
3. Add lentil mixture to the mash and combine. Divide mixture into 8 portions and shape into patties. 
4. Sprinkle mixed seeds onto a plate, roll patties to coat with seeds. 
5. Heat olive oil in frypan and cook patties in batches for 2-3 minutes until seeds are golden and heated through.
6. Serve with mixed salad greens and tomato chutney.


I used a seed mixture of black sesame, sunflower and linseeds.
You can also prepare in advance and leave in the fridge until ready to cook. This also helps to hold the patties together.
